Lipgloss and Dirt?
So, I'm really excited to be getting this ball rolling, with the blog I mean. It's something that I've been wanting to do for a long time. I've been mulling it over and to be really honest my own doubts have held me back. I'm not going to be a chicken anymore though...well, until I am the next time😉. This blog will be a lot about what is going on in my life as a mom, teacher, person, wife, decorator......... this list could go on and on. I hope that you will follow along as I go through each day and maybe you'll get some inspiration for your own home and life.
You may be wondering though how on earth I came up with the title of my blog. Because, to be honest, there isn't anything much worse than sticky hair as the result of wearing lipgloss on a windy day in Oklahoma where it blows dirt and your hair into your freshly polished pout. Leaving your lips covered in gritty slime with hair in it.....
We all have visions of looking like THIS in the morning and maybe we do until we set foot out the door....
BUT then, it quickly turns out like THIS. 😳
Ladies, you know what I'm talking about!
This pretty much sums up life doesn't it? Well, it sums up MY life anyway! I mean, we all try to make ourselves look better by smearing on nice, expensive goo, but then inevitably life comes along and jacks it up and we are just left looking a mess.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, then THIS blog isn't one you should follow. THIS blog is for the real mom, wife, person, decorator, teacher, homework supervisor, DIY-er, ballgame going, messy house, cook-my-own-meals-but-eat-out-because-it's-more-convenient ladies out there who like keeping it real. Follow along! It'll be fun.
